NORMAN, Okla. -- The new-look Sooners took the Lloyd Noble Center court for the first time in the public's eye as the OU women's basketball team held its annual preseason intrasquad scrimmage for season-ticket holders and Fast Break Club members Thursday evening.
Behind 22 points from freshman guard Morgan Hook and 18 from All-American senior Danielle Robinson, Red defeated White 82-68, in front of approximately 1,000 fans.
"It was fun to get back in front of the fans and get some energy going," Robinson said. "You know, (the result) is what you would expect with so many new people and just being a few practices in, but there's a long way to go and this team certainly showed it has the parts to be very special."
Robinson also tallied a game-high seven assists and five steals.

The Sooners played four 10-minute periods, with some members switching teams throughout the session. Junior college transfer Jelena Cerina, resting a minor hamstring injury, and Whitney Hand, who is recovering from knee surgery, sat out the event.
Freshman guard Aaryn Ellenberg led the white team with 14 points. The McDonald's All-American from Las Vegas, Nev., had an impressive start, shooting 4-for-4 to lead all first-period scorers with 10 points.
Ellenberg led the scrimmage with a combined 23 points, shooting 10-for-21 from the field.
Plano, Texas, native Alexann Yancey scored 10 points and added five assists for White.
Joanna McFarland was aggressive in the paint, collecting a double-double through four periods with 18 points and 13 rebounds.
Carlee Roethlisberger provided 15 total points, doing most of her work behind the 3-point line where she made four or seven attempts.
Despite playing mostly even-scoring periods, Red, stacked with the Sooner veterans, ran away from the underclassmen-heavy White squad in the second period with a 29-10 advantage.
The Sooners' season begins Thursday, Nov. 4, with an exhibition game against Oklahoma Christian. Tip-off at the Lloyd Noble Center is 7 p.m.
