OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. - The University of Oklahoma women's tennis team defeated Wichita State University, 6-3, tonight at the Santa Fe Club. The Sooners secure wins in three singles competitions and three of three in doubles matches. After claiming their second win in the spring season, women's tennis holds a 3-0 record leaving Wichita State to a 0-1 for the season.

Picking up the win at number one singles was Oklahoma junior Viviana Mracnova defeating Kelli Clark in 6-3, 6-1 sets. Freshman Joni Helleland picked a win challenging Sarah Beth Dangos, 6-1, 6-1, at the number five singles slot for the Sooners. Fellow freshman Annette Bryntesson took over the number six singles slot overwhelming Julie Perovic, 7-6, 6-1, for the third singles victory for Oklahoma.

Oklahoma ruled doubles competition winning all three matches, 8-6, 8-6, 8-3.

In the upcoming match Sooners will host Texas-Arlington in Oklahoma City, Okla., Fri., Feb. 11 at the Santa Fe Club.
