Zach Harris has served as the Sooners' starting rightfielder for the majority of the season. A highly touted recruit coming out of Pratt Community College last spring, Harris possesses an outstanding throwing arm. Harris' impressive offensive skills also helped him garner San Diego Classic All-Tournament Team honors at the beginning of the season.
What is the best thing about playing college baseball?
It's a goal that I've reached. Growing up, it's something you dream about. Also, the fans make it fun and the little kids asking for autographs is always fun.
What position did you play in Little League and what was your favorite memory?
I played shortstop and pitcher during Little League. My first home run tied a game and my second home run won a game. My brother came down after the game and congratulated me.

What's the scariest thing that has ever happened to you?
When a cow almost ran over me after I was chasing it and it got out of the fence.

Who was your favorite baseball player growing up?
Ozzie Smith because I was a shortstop, too.
What do you like in your cereal bowl?
Milk with my Honeynut Cheerios and some sugar with Captain Crunch Berries.
What is the best piece of advice that a coach gave you?
There's always tomorrow.
If you weren't an outfielder, what position would you like to play?
I would enjoy shortstop or being a pitcher because that's what I played growing up.
What advice can you offer to Little Leaguers just starting out?
There's going to be some tough times, but if you keep believing, you can accomplish anything.
What was the toy that you played with the most when you were younger?
The 3-wheeler and whiffle ball
Who is your favorite non-baseball athlete?
Joe Montana because he was my hero growing up.
What do you like to do during rain delays?
Eat and hang out with my teammates.

I enjoy hanging out at the river on Budweiser Beach in Newport.

I used to collect baseball cards.

Steak and a baked potato
