STILLWATER, Okla. - The Oklahoma Sooners (10-12, 0-5 Big 12) were defeated by the No. 20 Oklahoma State Cowboys (14-8, 4-2 Big 12) on Wednesday, 6-1, at the Jack DeBois Tennis Complex.

"We need to forget about today's match and refocus and prepare to finish strong on Sunday in our regular season finale against Nebraska," OU head coach Paul Lockwood said.

Freshman Alex Joitoiu was the lone Sooner to come away with a victory on a very windy day in Stillwater.  Joitoiu defeated Anton Bobytskyi, 1-6, 7-5, 10-8.

"Anytime you go to Stillwater and face OSU it's going to be a tough match and we ran into them on a really good day," Lockwood added.

Next up, the Sooners host Nebraska in the regular season finale on Sunday, April 20.  The match is slated for a 6 p.m. start and will also be senior day for two Sooners.
