Senior Kristen Cox...
This week was full of excitement! The gym was good as usual. On Wednesday, Steve decided that the team needed a break from the gym and to have a little fun, so we went to a pumpkin patch instead of working out and it was so much fun! I mean with girls getting sick and stressed from midterms it was a good break to have some fun. We went through corn fields, raced on mini tricycles, petted the animals and even went on a hay ride. It was a blast! Friday we had our first inter-squad of the year and the two teams did great. We had fun dressing ourselves up with tattoos, makeup and color hair spray. It was fun just seeing how far along we were and we are definitely ahead of where we were last year and that is a good thing. We came together as a team and actually felt like a team.  It was a great experience and can't wait for the next one.

Junior Tiffany Willin...
This past week has been really good. With midterms going and practicing starting to become more intensified, Steve saw that we were a little stressed and gave us a day off to go out to the Pumpkin Patch with the team. We all went out there one day this past week during practice time and hung out together for the afternoon. We had to go through corn field mazes with Nil running around jumping out of the corn and trying to scare us. Then there was a fun hay ride and a petting zoo. At the patch, we went around the hundreds of pumpkins and could pick out one to take home with us. After we picked out our pumpkins everyone came over to the house and we carved pumpkins that were to be judged on Friday at our first inter-squad. So Friday came and we had our Ghost and Goblins inter-squad. Everyone looked really good for so early in the year.  Of course we had our mistakes but overall it was just a push to the next step in our preparation for season that’s almost here.  After Friday, I'm even more excited for this season to begin because we are really looking like a team already and we are doing some great gymnastics!
