NORMAN, Okla.-- The University of Oklahoma women's golf team stands in 15th place after 18 holes of play at Price's
"Give 'Em Five Fund"/ New Mexico State Invitational. The Sooners shot a 317 (+29) at the New Mexico State University Golf Course in Las Cruces, N.M., 21 strokes behind first-place San Jose State.

Senior Megan Goodwin led the Oklahoma with a 77 (+5), good for 26th place. Goodwin trails first-place Lehua Wise of New Mexico State by five strokes.

"We are disappointed with our performance today and really know that tomorrow is a critical day in our standings," OU head coach Carol Ludvigson said. "We learned from today but we are ready to get started tomorrow. The girls are hungry to begin well and keep the momentum during all 18 holes."
