NORMAN, Okla.- As part of SoonerSports.com's "Back Nine" women's golf feature, sophomore women's golfer Kelly Short of Muncie, Ind., recently interviewed fellow Indiana native Ellen Mueller at the Charlie Coe Center.

With three tournaments in the books for the 2009 season, Mueller is off to an impressive start to her junior year.  An Evansville, Ind., product, Mueller tied for third at the season-opening Texas A&M "Mo"Morial" in September.  One week later, she tied for 13th at the University of New Mexico Invitational.  Most recently, Mueller tied for ninth with a career-low 218 (+2) at the Windy City Collegiate in Glenview, Ill.

Thus far in her collegiate career, Mueller has garnered five top-10 finishes (four of those top-five finishes) and 10 top-20 finishes.  Her current 76.17 career stroke average places her second on OU's all-time list.
