NORMAN, Okla. - The University of Oklahoma men's basketball team climbed to No. 16 in the Associated Press top-25 poll released today. It ties as the highest ranking by a Kelvin Sampson-coached team as his 1994-95 Sooner squad reached the 16th spot in the Feb. 27 and March 6 editions.

Oklahoma claimed the 17th spot in the ESPN/USA Today top-25 poll released Sunday. It is the highest OU has been ranked in the coaches' poll under Sampson.

The Sooners, who are 13-1 overall and 1-0 in the Big 12, host Baylor Tuesday at 7 p.m. at Lloyd Noble Center before playing a road game versus Texas Saturday at 8 p.m.
