Both of ORU's wins in the series came at home with the last victory also occurring in overtime in 2004. Meanwhile, the Sooners are 6-0 all-time in Norman against the Golden Eagles.

On Sunday, Sept. 4, OU looks to avenge a 2010 loss at Missouri State (2-1) when the Bears arrive for a 7 p.m. game. Missouri State recorded a pair of 2-1 victories last weekend on the road at Tennessee-Martin and Vanderbilt. The Bears began the year with a 3-1 loss at Arkansas-Little Rock. MSU hosts Kansas Friday night at 7 p.m.
Eight starters return from the 2010 MSU team that posted a second-place finish in the Missouri Valley Conference with a 4-1-1 mark (10-6-3 overall). Last Time Out
The Sooners dropped below .500 with a pair of losses over the weekend, starting with a 1-0 loss at No. 6 Oklahoma State on Friday. The game was a non-conference meeting and OSU will return to the trip to Norman on Sept. 30 for a Big 12 Conference game.
The Sooners returned home on Sunday and suffered a 1-0 loss to visiting SMU, the first meeting in the series since 2004.
OU hits the road and for a pair of non-conference games in Arizona. On Friday, Sept. 9, OU battles Arizona State in Tempe at 6:30 p.m. CT. OU and ASU have met once previously in 2004. The Sooners won that game, 1-0, in Tempe on Sept. 19.

Mooney Named Preseason All-Big 12
For the third straight season, a member of the Sooner soccer team was selected by the Big 12 coaches' as a preseason honoree. Junior Caitlin Mooney was named one of the team's forwards on Aug. 11, a year after she selected as part of the All-Big 12 Newcomer team. Whitney Palmer, OU's all-time leading scorer, appeared on the preseason squad in 2010 and 2009.
In 2010, Mooney finished second on the team in scoring with seven goals and three assists. It marked her first season in Norman after transferring from Maryland. The Edmond, Okla., native helped lead the Terrapins to the NCAA Sweet 16 in 2009 as a true freshman with four goals scored and an assist.
Once again in 2011, the Sooners face a challenging non-conference schedule before play in the always competitive Big 12 begins. Overall, the Sooners will play seven games against six teams (twice against Oklahoma State) that were also in the 2010 postseason field of 64. In addition, OU faces 12 games against teams with 10-plus wins a year ago.
