OU Ranked No. 4-6 in Polls, BCS

NORMAN, Okla. -- Oklahoma was No. 4 in the Harris poll and No. 5 in both the AP and Coaches polls released Sunday. The Sooners were No. 6 in the latest BCS standings.
 
OU was the highest-ranked Big 12 team with Kansas (8) and Missouri (9) also ranked in the top 10 of all three polls and the BCS. Texas was No. 15 in the BCS. The Sooners own regular-season victories against Missouri and Texas.
 
Oklahoma plays three of its final four regular-season games in Norman. OU next hosts Texas A&M at 7 p.m. on Saturday. ABC will televise the matchup from Owen Field.
 
No team in college football history has been ranked more times in the AP top five than Oklahoma. Sunday marked the 349th week the Sooners have secured a top-five ranking since the poll began in 1936. OU and Notre Dame are tied for the most weeks ranked No. 1 at 95 each.

The BCS standings formula consists of three components, each weighted equally: the Coaches Poll, the Harris Poll and an average of six computer rankings (Anderson & Hester, Richard Billingsley, Colley Matrix, Kenneth Massey, Jeff Sagarin and Peter Wolfe).
