NORMAN, Okla. - The sixth-ranked Oklahoma women's gymnastics team (11-2) will compete in its last regular season meet against Texas Woman's University (9-6) on Sunday, March 17, at the Howard McCasland Field House. Meet time with the Pioneers is set for 2 p.m.

The Sooners enter the contest on a five-meet winning streak and have not lost since Feb. 1 at then-No. 2 Georgia. OU posted its highest score of the season, a 197.000, on March 3 versus Iowa State. Senior Mariana Goncalves was recently named Big 12 Gymnast of the Week for the fourth time after winning the all-around and leading the team to a victory over Arizona last weekend at home.

"This meet is a good opportunity for us to close out our season undefeated at home," said OU head coach Steve Nunno. "We can also solidify our spot as the No. 1 seed in our region with a good score. We expect to have a championship performance on Sunday."

Texas Woman's University is coming off a win over Centenary at home. Oklahoma traveled to Denton, Texas, on Jan. 26 to take on TWU and Southern Utah, and swept the meet with a 196.925, the Sooners' second-highest score of the season.

Three Sooner seniors will be honored prior to the beginning of the TWU meet. Goncalves, Alison Mayberry and Letitica Ishii will be competing in the last home meet of their careers.

"Sunday will be a very special day for our seniors," added Nunno. "It will be the last time people will get to see Mariana, Alison and Leticia compete at home."

Next up for the Sooners is the Big 12 Championship on March 23 in Lincoln, Neb. The Sooners have defeated Iowa State and Missouri this season, but will have not faced reigning Big 12 Champions and No. 7 Nebraska.
