Hoosiers.

I am Sam and any cartoon on Nickelodeon.

My parents were right when they told me:
All you can do is your best!

Why do you wear your particular jersey number?
I don't remember when I first decided that 12 was my favorite number, but I'm had it ever since I can remember.

When you were younger, what was your parents' favorite saying?
"I'm not gonna be the referee between you two."

If you could be any superhero or cartoon character, who would you be?
Spiderman.

What's your favorite cereal and what's your typical breakfast?
Lucky Charms; a bagel or muffin and a glass of orange juice.

Do you have any pre-game rituals/ superstitions?
I always read out of the Bible.

What's the one song that gets you pumped up before a game?
I always read the Bible before a game. Then, when I step on the court for pregame warm-up, the crowd gets me ready to go.

The best advice I've ever received was:
"So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God." (1 Cortinthians 10:31)

Who's the one preson you look up to, and why?
My little sister, Katie, because of the way she treats others and her constant desire to learn more about the Lord.

If I had to cook all my meals I would probably survive on:
Egg sandwiches.

If I won $1 million, I would:
Buy a new car just for run and then build a house in downtown OKC for a homeless shelter.

My most prized possession is:
My Bible.

What did you do for your summer vacation?
I was a counselor at Kanakuk (Christian athletic camp in Branson, MO.) and also went to New York City.

I'd like to switch places for a day with:
Oprah.

If I could bring anything from my hometown to Oklahoma it would be:
My family.

What are you most thankful for in life?
My amazing and extremely supportive family.

Oklahoma basketball team will be fun to watch this year because:
We have a new youthful team with a core of seasoned veterans.

The one thing I would change about college basketball:
Nothing!

For me to improve as a player I need to:
Believe in my abilities.

For me to improve as a person I need to:
Spend more time in the Word and praying to God.

My great athletic moment was:
When I was 11 and I scored the winning penalty kick in a shootout in the final came of the state soccer tournament.

What is your earliest memory of playing basketball?
Trying to play basketball with my two brothers, and every time that I shot they would stuff the ball back into my face.

What has been your most inspiring moment on the court?
The closing seconds of the Duke game when we realized that we were going to play in the National Championship.

What other sport would you be playing?
Soccer.

The biggest thrill in my life to date would be:
Going to the Final Four.

The toughest team I've played against:
Duke.

What is the hardest venue to play at?
Iowa State.

Where is your favorite place to play at?
Oklahoma State.

If I could add one team to our schedule, it would be:
Duke.

A friend on another college basketball team:
Bethany Bentz, Tulsa; Lauren Solmon, Fresno State; Rebecca Kates, Mississippi State; and MacKenzie Bond, Oklahoma Christian University.

Since coming to Oklahoma I have learned:
The importance of doing things right.

The best thing about Oklahoma is:
It provides a student with big school academics while still having a small town atmosphere.
