HEAD COACH KELVIN SAMPSON
On playing after Jabahri's injury:
"I kind of wanted to see him finish that game. To see us playing that well when Jabahri only played eight minutes and Johnnie Gilbert only played 11; those are two key post guys. That just shows you how important the team is. We don't have "I" guys on our bench, we have "team" guys."

On Jozsef Szendrei:
"He just played his hardest. I couldn't be more proud of him. He had 11 rebounds and I thought he was our best post guy today."

On beating Kansas:
"If somebody would have told me that we would have beat Kansas by two points, I would have taken it. We beat a good basketball team today."

On Kansas coming back in the second half:
"That says a lot about their team too. They didn't hang their heads. They were going to come back and we knew that. We knew they would make a run but we felt our defense could step up, make plays and do what we had to do. So give Kansas credit for hanging in there."

On Jabahri Brown's injury:
"They took his jersey away from him at halftime. He was so excited to play in this game. He'll be okay. A concussion is not brain surgery."

SENIOR GUARD HOLLIS PRICE
On the win:
"This was a big win and every game is really important. We knew that we had a chance to tie Kansas for first place in the conference and we found a way to win."

On Jabahri Brown and playing without him:
"We got our intensity from Jabahri (Brown) today. He started out great and after he got his concussion, we just kind of fed off of his play. And when our guys go down, everybody else has to step up and that's what we did. Jozsef Szendrei came off the bench and got 11 rebounds for us and did a great job."

SENIOR GUARD QUANNAS WHITE
On OU's play after Brown's injury:
"I think that when Jabahri went down it just motivated us and gave us a lot of energy. He brings a lot to the table so I think that after he went down it gave us that much more motivation to go out and win the game for him and ourselves."

On stopping KU's run in the second half:
"Kansas is a good team and you're not going to beat them by a lot of points. But we fought through the adversity and got the job done in the end."

KANSAS HEAD COACH ROY WILLIAMS
On the game:
"When you play a team like OU, you're not going to turn the tables with a team like Oklahoma. In the first half we didn't even belong in the building with OU. We didn't deserve to be in the same league. In the second half you have to feel good that the kids didn't quit, but even then they still missed some easy shots. We got it to six and Keith Langford got a rebound and missed an open lay-up."

On missing some easy shots:
"We did have some good shots that we didn't make. But you have to credit Oklahoma's defense. We did have some opportunities but, again, we didn't belong in the same league as OU."

On Hollis Price:
"I tell you what, someone asked me what I liked about Hollis and I said it was his heart. I would have to say he's my favorite player in the 15 years I've been in this league. Another player who doesn't get enough credit is Quannas White. He played his butt off tonight. I would love to have him on my team."

On Oklahoma:
"I said earlier this week in my press conference that I think they (Oklahoma) are playing the best basketball in the league right now. They are very close to being 12-0 in this conference."

On Oklahoma's defense against Nick Collison:
"I don't know how many minutes Jabahri Brown played; I think eight. I thought the guys off the bench did a really good job. I thought Jozsef Szendrei bought some minutes for them. OU's team defense is extremely impressive and their team offense gets the ball to the guys who are going to score. It was just a pretty good butt kicking is all it was."

KANSAS SOPHOMORE KEITH LANGFORD
On the game:
"We didn't execute. They did a good job against our defensive sets. We were in situations where it was one on one at the top of the key and they exploited us. It wasn't anything team oriented, they just hit big shots and we didn't."

On the team's confidence:
"I don't believe this will affect the psyche of the team. I still believe we will win the Big 12, whether it's shared or outright. One loss won't decide our season."

KANSAS SENIOR KIRK HINRICH
On the comeback:
"I don't think this comeback made the loss any better. I'm still upset and the bottom line is it's a loss. If we came out and played we could have won this game, but we didn't."

On their late rally:
"I thought we had a shot at winning but we had too many mistakes. After the first half we had to play perfect but we didn't."

On Hollis Price and Quannas White:
"Hollis is great, but then again you expect that. Quannas White really shot it well tonight. He broke us down in one-on-one situations and hit some big shots."
