Brent Hodge is also playing  for the Highland Park Blue Sox while Russell Raley, also of the Texas Collegiate League, is on the Graham Roughnecks but is currently inactive with the same stress fracture that forced him to miss the Sooners' 2005 postseason run.

Others participating in summer leagues include:

OU hurler, Tyler Adkins of the Thunder Bay Border Cats, is competing in the Northwoods League.

John Brownell is pitching for the El Dorado Broncos in the Jayhawk League.

Finally, slugger Joe Dunigan of the Dupage Dragons is playing in the Central Illinois Collegiate League.

Several former Sooners are also playing in Major League Baseball and its minor league affiliates.  Most recently, Mark Redman pitched eight scoreless innings on Sunday, July 24 to pick up his fifth win of the season for the Pittsburgh Pirates.  Redman limited the Colorado Rockies to six hits while striking out five batters and is scheduled to make his next start on Saturday, July 30 at Atlanta.
