NORMAN, Okla.. –The University of Oklahoma women’s tennis team looks to sweep the Bedlam series Tuesday as the Sooners face Oklahoma State in Stillwater, Okla., at 2 p.m., after Saturday's original meet was rescheduled due to inclement weather.
Oklahoma (9-10, 4-3 Big 12) won the first meeting between the in-state rivals, 5-2, on March 3 in Norman.
The Sooners are coming off back-to-back losses to top 25 opponents last weekend. No. 11 Baylor edged out OU, 4-3, on Friday, March 30 in Waco, Texas, before falling to No. 22 Texas Tech, 5-2, in Lubbock on Sunday, April 1.
OU is led by 46th-ranked duo of Marie-Pier Huet and Whitney Ritchie. The pair is 15-4 at the No. 1 doubles position this season, while Ritchie leads the team with a 14-5 record in singles between the No. 1 and No. 2 spots.
Oklahoma State (10-6, 4-3 Big 12) also lost to both Texas Tech and Baylor last weekend and sits in fifth place in the conference standings, one spot above OU.
OSU’s No. 1 singles player, C.C. Sardinha, is ranked 120th-nationally in singles and is 8-8 on the season.
