OU Wrestling Invites Entries For Oklahoma Open

NORMAN, Okla.   The Oklahoma wrestling team invites wrestlers to enter the 34th annual Oklahoma Open. The tournament is scheduled for Friday and Saturday, Nov. 26-27, at the Howard McCasland Field House on the OU campus. Registration is open to wrestlers in three divisions: junior high, high school and college.

Junior high and high school matches will begin on Friday, Nov. 26, at 9 a.m. and will continue on Saturday, Nov. 27, at noon. A $20 cash entry fee for junior high and high school competitors is due on Thursday, Nov. 25 at the time of weigh-in. Weigh-in will take place from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at designated high schools in Oklahoma, Texas Iowa, Florida and New Mexico.

College division matches will begin at 9 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 27. Entries for the college division must be faxed to OU wrestling coach Barry Weldon at (405) 325-7505 by 3 p.m. on November 26. College division entries will be required to pay the $20 entry fee at weigh-in on the day of competition. All teams and participants in the college division must weigh-in at the McCasland Field House at 7 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 27.
