POSTGAME QUOTES NEBRASKA VS. OKLAHOMA TUESDAY, MARCH 4, 2003 LLOYD NOBLE CENTER - NORMAN, OKLA.

OU HEAD COACH KELVIN SAMPSON

On the win:
"I liked how we played the last 10 minutes of the first half and the first six minutes of the second half. When we play defense like that and get rebounds like that and get easy baskets, we're a good spurt team. Even when we weren't making baskets early our defense was really good."

On Jabahri Brown:
"A player we spent a lot of time is Jabahri. We're getting him to be more offensive-minded. I think when you're aggressive on offense it carries over to other parts of your game. Jabahri is becoming a much better basketball player."

On Hollis Price:
"What can I say about Hollis. He's the best player in this league period."

On the upcoming Texas game:
"These are two great programs. We're ranked No. 5 and they're No. 4. They got us down in Austin so we're looking forward to playing them here Saturday."

OU JUNIOR CENTER JABAHRI BROWN

On OU's defensive effort:
"We just came out and played defense the way we know how to play defense. Not to take anything away from Nebraska because they're a great team but we came out and everything clicked on defense. I think it helped our team out especially early on in the game."

On the game:
"Our team had a lot of fun out there tonight and I was just glad to be a part of it. We were able to do what we wanted to do at both ends of the floor."

OU SENIOR GUARD HOLLIS PRICE

On OU breaking out of its scoring slump in the first half:
"Basically we wanted to push the ball in transition and that's what we did towards the end of the half. The last two minutes, I think we score about 26 points. We just got some easy bucket and started going from there."

On OU's game against Texas on Saturday:
"I don't have any words about it right now. You know, they beat us and we don't want those guys to sweep us so we're just going to come out and play them really hard."

NEBRASKA QUOTES
Oklahoma 76, Nebraska 51

Lloyd Noble Center

Nebraska Head Coach Barry Collier

On the game:
"I think they were more aggressive. They got some shots out on the break off our turnovers. We gave up some offensive rebounds and they made perimeter shots. I thought they were much more aggressive than us and were rewarded for such. I think in the end they shot really well from the perimeter and certainly Hollis Price did a great job leading them. Our 20 turnovers also was a big factor."

On Hollis Price:
"The biggest thing is Hollis is Kelvin's left hand out on the court. He is able to be that player that leads by example on offense and defense. He's nothing more than a sneeze, but he plays so big. His play throws dirt in the face of anybody who thinks you have to be a giant to be good in this game. He's a giant in his play."

On Forward Andrew Drevo's play:
"I thought Andrew played with more poise than anybody on our team. He took his time and was able to get on a roll, but it was too little too late."
