No. 15 Oklahoma Set To Take On No. 21 Iowa State In Wrestling

NORMAN, Okla. - The 15th-ranked Oklahoma wrestling team (11-6) will travel to Ames, Iowa, on Sunday to take on the 21st-ranked Cyclones of Iowa State (5-9) at 2 p.m at the Hilton Coliseum. The dual will feature ranked rematches from National Duals at 133 pounds and 141 pounds. Oklahoma, which is coming off a 20-15 win over Nebraska, has a 40-33-3 lead over Iowa State in the all-time series. The Sooners have won four out of the last six duals against the Cyclones, including a 19-15 win earlier this season at the National Duals.

One of the most anticipated matches will come at 141-pounds, where Oklahoma's third-ranked Teyon Ware (23-4) goes head-to-head with fourth-ranked Aaron Holker (18-3). Ware, who wasn't ranked in the top ten, and Holker met at the National Duals, where Ware defeated the top-ranked Cyclone, 3-1. The other close match-up will come at 133 pounds where No. 5 Sooner Witt Durden (18-3) meets No. 4 Zach Roberson (17-3) on the mat. Roberson defeated Durden, 6-1, when the pair met at the National Duals.

Oklahoma should have an advantage at 125, 174, 184 and 197 pounds. Eighth-ranked Bo Maynes (31-5) will take on either Grant Nakamura (15-9) or Jesse Sundell (9-6) at 125 pounds. Fourth-ranked senior Robbie Waller (25-5) will face off against Iowa State's Ken Cook (5-10) at 174 pounds, OU's third-ranked Josh Lambrecht (16-2) will wrestle No. 13 Austen Palmer (16-10) in the 184-pound battle and No. 14 Sooner Tom Grossman (23-5) will face Woodley Milord (8-14) at 197 pounds.

Unranked wrestlers will battle at 149 pounds and in the 157 weight class. At 149 pounds Oklahoma's Danny Rubenstein (3-9) will face Nate Gallick (13-12) and 157 pounds will pit Sooner Rafael Maturino (16-15) against Nathan Meyer (11-10). Iowa State will wrestle eighth-ranked Nick Passolano (15-7) against Oklahoma's 165-pounder Wes Roberts (15-14).

The heavyweight contest will pit OU's Jake Hager (1-5) against Scott Coleman (3-2).
