DALLAS - A limited number of tickets to the 2003 Phillips 66 Big 12 Men's Basketball Tournament, held March 13-16 in Dallas' American Airlines Center, will go on sale next Wednesday, Jan. 29.

Big 12 officials said that approximately 500 Terrace (upper) level tickets will go on sale to the general public on a first-come, first-serve basis (a maximum of two tickets per order) beginning at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 29. All tickets will be sold through the American Airlines Center (AAC) ticket office Web site. The cost of each all-session ticket is $210, plus a one-time $10 per order handling fee.

Patrons may log onto www.americanairlinescenter.com. Patrons may also log directly onto the official Big 12 Web site, www.big12sports.com, or www.dallashostsports.org to link to the AAC site and fill out the on-line ticket application. Only those orders received after 10 a.m. (CT) on Jan. 29 will be eligible for tickets.

"We trust we are providing enough lead time for those interest in the remaining tickets to get ready for the start of the public sale," said Big 12 Conference tournament manager Tim Allen. "There has been very strong interest so far and we think there will be a strong demand for tickets."

In addition to the men's tournament, ticket sales continue for the Phillips 66 Big 12 Women's Tournament set for March 11-15 at Reunion Arena in Dallas. Tickets for that event are available through Ticket Master outlets.
