LUBBOCK, Texas – The University of Oklahoma volleyball team moved to 16-6 overall and 8-3 in Big 12 play with a sweep at Texas Tech Saturday afternoon (25-20, 25-13, 28-26). The Red Raiders fell to 3-17 overall and 1-10 in conference play.

Suzy Boulavsky led the Sooners with 12 kills and .478 hitting percentage. OU hit .214 as a team and held the Red Raiders to a .086 clip. The Sooners out-blocked TTU 14.0-9.0 with

Sarah Freudenrich leading the way with nine total blocks, including three block solos. Morgan Reynolds and Sallie McLaurin each added five block assists.

Caitlin Higgins paced OU with 17 digs. Maria Fernanda added 11 and Brianne Barker had 30 assists as OU won its third straight match.

Amanda Dowdy had 13 kills and Justine Young added 10 for Texas Tech.

The match had just 12 ties and six lead changes with most of the back-and-forth action happening in the third set. A total of nine ties and four lead changes resulted in a 28-26 set win for OU.

The Sooners return to action next Saturday, Oct. 30, at 2 p.m. CT against the Baylor Bears. Admission is free for the contest at McCasland Field House on fan appreciation day.
