AUSTIN, Texas. - The Oklahoma Sooners (7-8) travel to Austin, Texas, to face Big 12 power No. 5 Texas (14-3, 1-0) on Sunday at 1 p.m.
"We are looking forward to the challenge of facing a top-five opponent and the possibilities that come with it," head coach Paul Lockwood said.
The Sooners were defeated by Texas A&M on Friday night, 4-3.
Last season Oklahoma was defeated by Texas by a score of 6-1.
Oklahoma is ranked No. 61 in the March 25 release of the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) team rankings.
Sophomore Andrei Daescu is ranked No. 39 in the ITA singles rankings.
Next up, the Sooners host Texas Tech on Friday, April 4. The match is slated for a 5 p.m. start.
