NORMAN, Okla. -- Oklahoma's Danielle Robinson was the season’s first Big 12 Women’s Basketball Player of the Week, announced by the conference office Monday.

Robinson, who shared the honor with Kansas State’s Mariah White, nearly amassed a triple-double in OU’s season opening win at Milwaukee on Nov. 13.  Robinson totaled 20 points, 11 assists and eight steals, leading the game in all categories.

The preseason All-America candidate scored 16 of her 20 after halftime as Oklahoma wrestled a three-point advantage to a 17-point victory.

It was Robinson’s eight career double-digit assist game, an Oklahoma program record.  With 560 assists in her career, Robinson needs 205 to top Stacey Dales (1998-2002) for OU’s all-time record.

White averaged 10 points and 7.5 rebounds, leading Kansas State to a Wildcat Classic tournament championship.  The newcomer of the week honor went to Jordan Hooper, who totaled 15 points and six rebounds in Nebraska’s 95-38 win over Vermont.
