NORMAN, Okla. - The University of Oklahoma men's tennis team ended the Texas-Arlington Invitational on Sunday, Oct. 14, winning four of six doubles matches against Texas-Pan American and Centenary at the Arlington Tennis Center in Arlington, Texas.
Juniors Tobias Kronlein and Chris Mitchell teamed up to defeat UTPA's Matt Gowen and Neil Barradough, 8-3, while claiming their final victory of the tournament over Centenary's J.T. Cope and Todd Killen, 8-1. Junior Matt Ogle and freshman Brad Prigmore paired up to defeat UTPA's Felip Koziell and Tom Mangelschots, 9-8. Freshmen Matt Lopez and Matt Long dropped their doubles match 8-2 to UTPA's Kareem Abdullah and Pierre Cantu.
Ogle and Lopez teamed up to claim a doubles win over Centenary's Mark Lewis and Brian Roberts, 8-3, while Long and Prigmore lost the second match of the day to Centenary's Caleb Ashley and Nathan Bridges, 8-6.
The Sooners return to action on Thursday, Oct. 18, at the ITA Regional Indoor Championships in Wichita, Kan.
