NORMAN, Okla. - The 12th-ranked Oklahoma wrestling team (6-3) will compete against seventh-ranked West Virginia in the first round of the National Duals in Columbus, Ohio at 11 a.m. EST on Saturday. This will mark only the second time that these two schools have competed. West Virginia, which is seeded sixth, defeated the Sooners in 1986 by a score of 15-30. West Virginia brings in top-ranked Greg Jones at 174 pounds. Jones will face Oklahoma's returning All-American Robbie Waller. West Virginia will also bring six other wrestlers that are ranked in the top 20.

The Sooners are coming off a double-header win against Fresno St. (23-18) and Cal Poly (26-18) on Jan. 11. Oklahoma will take 15 wrestlers, with six ranked in the top 20. Senior Witt Durden (133 pounds) holds a 12-0 over-all record and an 8-0 dual record. Durden is currently ranked second by Intermat. Oklahoma will also wrestle senior Josh Lambrecht at 184 pounds. Lambrecht, with a 13-1 record, has recorded falls in nine of his victories.

If Oklahoma wins it will face the winner of the Minnesota-Iowa State Dual at 3 p.m. EST. Should the Sooners lose, they will face the loser of that dual at 5 p.m. EST.

All dual matches will be available on live webcast at The Amateur Wrestling Show's web site http://members.citynet.net/sites/taws . Results will be posted on Ohio State's athletic web site, www.ohiostatebuckeyes.com.
