NORMAN, Okla. - The seventh-ranked Oklahoma women's gymnastics team (9-2) is set to host No. 11 Iowa State (6-2) on Sunday, March 3, at the Lloyd Noble Center in its first of three home meets this month. Meet time with the Cyclones is set for 2 p.m.

The Sooners are coming off victories over then-No. 20 Missouri and Centenary last weekend in Columbia. OU combined for a 196.500 team score, its third-best mark of the season. Senior Mariana Goncalves led the Sooners, winning the all-around with a career-high 39.575. She also placed first on the vault (9.850), bars (9.925) and balance beam (9.925). Senior Alison Mayberry notched a career-high 9.900 on the floor exercise to tie for first place.

The Cyclones are coming off a 197.000 to 196.550 win over then-No. 9 Minnesota in Minneapolis after losing to the Gophers at home the week before. ISU senior Shelly Kringren led the team with a season-high 39.625 in the all-around to take first place and Big 12 Gymnast of the Week honors.

"I think this is going to be one of our toughest meets of the year," said OU head coach Steve Nunno. "Iowa State is a well-coached and well-rounded team who's been scoring high on the road. I think it will be a tough win for us but, I know we're capable of doing it."

The Sooners will be at home on March 10 against Arizona at the Lloyd Noble Center, and March 17 against Texas Woman's at the Howard McCasland Field House. Meet time for both events is 2 p.m.
