NORMAN, Okla. - The University of Oklahoma men's tennis team, competing at the ITA Regional Indoor Championships in Wichita, Kan., sent one qualifier out of three into main draw action on Friday, Oct. 19.

Junior Tobias Kronlein won matches over Julian Angel of Southern Illinois (6-1 and 6-2), followed by a victory over Missouri-Kansas City's Alonzo Thomas (6-2, 6-3) to qualify for the main draw beginning at 10 a.m. Friday.

Freshmen Brad Prigmore and Ollivier Monferran started the day with victories but lost in the second round of play. Prigmore defeated Oklahoma State's Brad Fakkar and fell to Tulsa's Tom Murray (6-1, 6-3). Monferran, playing in his first match of the season, defeated Rishi Gabharran of SMS (7-5, 6-1) before losing to Ilkaika Jobe of Saint Louis (6-3, 6-1).

Juniors Matt Ogle and Chris Mitchell will be joining Kronlein, along with freshman Alex Nomicos, representing Oklahoma in the main draw.
