SAN ANTONIO, Texas -- The University of Oklahoma men's golf squad opens its spring schedule at the UTSA/Oak Hills Invitational at Oak Hills Country Club in San Antonio, Texas on Feb. 15-16.
Joining the Sooners in the 54-hole event are Air Force, No. 41 Baylor, Illinois State, Iowa State, Louisiana-Lafayette, North Texas, Sam Houston State, Stephen F. Austin, Southeastern Louisiana, Texas State, No. 17 Texas Tech, Tulsa, UTSA and No. 50 Wichita State.
OU’s lineup includes Ben Blundell, Ben Klaus, Liam Logan, Riley Pumphrey and Tyler Rody. Klaus joined the Sooners during the fall after transferring from Vanderbilt and is making his OU debut this week, while Blundell is coming off of a 4-under-par 68 in the final round of the CordeValle Collegiate Invitational to close the fall season.
The Sooners are paired with Sam Houston State and Tulsa during the first two rounds, which commences Monday with an 8 a.m. (CT) shotgun start.
ABOUT THE TOURNAMENT
Hosted by UTSA, the 54-hole event will begin with 36 holes on Monday, Feb. 15, followed by the final 18 holes on Tuesday, Feb. 16.
Texas Tech is in this week's field as the defending champion, while Red Raider golfer Chris Ward completed the sweep with individual medalist honors.
