LITTLE ROCK, Ark. -- The Sooner soccer team split a pair of games on Saturday during the first two games of the spring schedule.

OU started off the day with a 1-0 victory over Ole Miss.  Michelle Alexander scored the game-winning goal off an assist from Caitlin Mooney.

Lisa Jett recorded the shutout in goal as the Sooners won their first game of the offseason.

In the second game of the day, OU dropped a 2-1 decision to Memphis despite an unassisted goal from Annalisa Hall.

The Sooner defense, which featured three freshmen and sophomore Carrie Whigham, was tested against the Tigers' attack.  Lisa Jett made the start in goal and played the entire contest for the second straight game.

"It was good to see our young backline tested in a game environment today and tested by a sophisticated attack," said Nelson. "I am pleased with the overall development of the group and their effort today."
