Sooners Crack Top 25

NORMAN, Okla.The Oklahoma men’s tennis team climbed 29 spots to No. 23 on the ITA Fila rankings.

OU was previously ranked No. 52 but breached the top 25 after upsetting No. 24 Rice, No. 39 Middle Tennessee State and No. 33 William & Mary.

The University of Georgia has held the No. 1 spot for ten straight weeks. Georgia is followed by the University of Virginia (2), Ohio State (3), Baylor (4) and Notre Dame (5).

All seven Big 12 teams, including Baylor and Oklahoma, rank in the top 100.

The last time the Sooners were ranked in the top 25 was the 1992 season. The last time OU’s season-ending rank in was in the top 25 was the 1976 season when Oklahoma finished 16th.
