NORMAN, Okla. -- The University of Oklahoma men's tennis team returns to the court Saturday, following a week layoff, when it faces Old Dominion and Virginia Commonwealth on Saturday in Norfolk, Va..

"We picked up a good win last week and now we have the chance to go on the road and pick up two more wins against some really quality opponents," head coach Paul Lockwood said.

Last Friday, the Sooners defeated Fresno State in Oklahoma City, 6-1. OU picked up three doubles victories and five singles victories.

"We look forward to the challenge that ODU and VCU bring to the table," Lockwood continued.  "These matches will again show us where we are at as a team and where we are at individually."

The Sooners are ranked No. 34 in the ITA rankings while Virginia Commonwealth is ranked No. 31 and Old Dominion is No. 38.

The Sooners continue on the road next weekend when they travel to Minneapolis, Minn., to face Minnesota on Feb. 9, and Wisconsin-Green Bay on Feb. 10.
