NORMAN, Okla. - The University of Oklahoma men's golf team has moved into the No. 10 ranking nationally in the latest Mastercard Rankings released by The College Golf Foundation. Ranked 23rd in the preseason by Mastercard, OU has posted six top-five finishes this season and was victorious at the Windon Memorial Classic last fall. In their most recent showing, the Sooners placed third at the Cleveland Golf/Morris Williams Intercollegiate in Austin, Texas finishing only three strokes behind No. 3 Georgia Tech.

"Our golf team is playing well right now," said OU Head Coach Jim Ragan. "I think that our performance in Austin helped improve our position in the rankings and we're looking forward to getting back out on the golf course to improve our ranking even more."

In the Mastercard individual rankings, OU junior Cody Freeman is now ranked 15th in the nation. Freeman has led the Sooners in five tournaments this season averaging a score of 73.37. In Austin, Freeman tied for fifth place after two rounds of play. It was the third time this season he finished in the top five.

The Sooners continue their season at the ASU Thunderbird/Savane Invitational on April 13-14 in Tempe, Ariz. at the Karsten Golf Course.
