NORMAN, Okla. - The University of Oklahoma men's tennis team defeated Northern Iowa, 6-0, on Sunday, Feb.10, at the Oaktree Country Club in Edmond, Okla. The Sooners improve to 4-0 in home matches, and 4-1 overall, with their only loss on the road against then-No. 62 New Mexico.

Oklahoma dominated the singles competition, taking all six matches. In No. 1 doubles play, the duo of Ollivier Monferran and Olivier Girardot fell to Northern Iowa's Khambula Msiska and Zane Krog, 8-2. The combination of Tobias Kronlein and Chris Mitchell and Sebastien Revol and Brad Prigmore took the next two doubles matches for the Sooners, 8-2 and 8-5, respectively.

"I am proud of our effort today," said head coach Paul Lockwood. "It was a solid win for the players. They have bounced back well with two home wins after our opening road loss to New Mexico."

Oklahoma is back in action on Friday, Feb. 22, at Texas Arlington. Match time with the Mavericks is set for 1 p.m. in Arlington, Texas.
