IRVING, Texas -- Oklahoma's Danielle Robinson was named to the Preseason All-Big 12 Women’s Basketball Team, announced Tuesday by the league.
It was Robinson’s second consecutive year on the preseason team voted by the league’s coaches. Coaches were not allowed to vote for their own players.
Baylor’s Brittney Griner and Melissa Jones, Iowa State’s Kelsey Bolte and Texas A&M’s Danielle Adams joined Robinson on the Preseason All-Big 12 Team.
Robinson was a State Farm Coaches’ All-America selection last year as she led the Sooners to a second consecutive NCAA Women’s Final Four appearance. The San Jose, Calif., native was also an All-Big 12 First Team selection and named to both the All-Big 12 Defensive Team and Phillips 66 All-Big 12 Tournament Team. Additionally, she was selected to the NCAA Women’s Final Four and Kansas City Regional all-tournament squads.
The senior guard was also an All-Big 12 First Team pick in 2009 and was the 2008 Big 12 Freshman of the Year.
