PREVIEWING OKLAHOMA
The Sooners were picked by the league's coaches to finish third in the Big 12 Conference this season. The media has Oklahoma 11th in the Associated Press Poll and the USA Today/ESPN Coaches' Poll has Oklahoma at No. 10.

The Sooners enter 2010-11 following back-to-back trips to the Final Four. OU returns eight letterwinners from the squad, including three starters, and introduces six newcomers.

Preseason All-American Danielle Robinson leads the team after a standout junior season in which she averaged 16.8 points and 5.3 assists.

Redshirt sophomore Whitney Hand, who suffered an ACL injury five games into the 2009-10 season is expected back on court in January 2011.

Possession Obsession
Oklahoma's defense has stifled its opponents through three games this season, forcing more turnovers from each than allowing field goals. This season, OU has scored 81 points off 74 opponent turnovers and allowed just 46 field goals.

The Sooners stopped the Milwaukee Panthers in their season-opening road win with the Sooners scoring 29 of their 76 points off 33 Milwaukee turnovers, while allowing just 32 field goal attempts.

Against Western Illinois, OU pulled the trick again by forcing 23 turnovers and allowing just 14 field goals.

Fresno State surrendered 27 points off 18 turnovers and made just 17 of its 56 attempts.

 Sooner to Watch

Aaryn Ellenberg | Fr. | Guard
The 5-7 guard from Las Vegas, Nev., has the chance to become just the second Sooner freshman under Sherri Coale to score in double figures in her first four collegiate games. With 15 points against Fresno State last Monday, she joined Courtney Paris, Danielle Robinson and Amanda Thompson as Sooner freshmen who pulled the double in their first three games.

Ellenberg Rolls Doubles
Aaryn Ellenberg is just the fourth Sooner freshman under Sherri Coale to score in double figures in each of her first three games, joining Courtney Paris, Danielle Robinson and Amanda Thompson.

Paris, however, has been the only so far to make it four straight and Ellenberg will have her chance Friday against UT-Pan American to accomplish that feat. Breaking Courtney Paris' double-figure scoring streak, however, will be tough, as it stands at an NCAA record 120 consecutive games.

Team Votes Captains for 2010-11
Redshirt-sophomore Whitney Hand and seniors Danielle Robinson and Carlee Roethlisberger are co-captains of the Sooners this season. The captains were voted by their teammates.

D-Rob Racking Preseason Honors
Senior guard Danielle Robinson has been touted as the game's top point guard this season, and the watch lists have given notice as she appears as a candidate for virtually every award.
