AUSTIN, Texas -- Freshman Leslie Dunlap continues to prove she has the talent to jump at the Division I level after winning the Texas Relays pole vault title with a 13-3.5. The mark was less than two inches lower than an NCAA automatic mark and a season best for the Choctaw freshman by more than a foot. Earlier this year, Dunlap qualified for the NCAA Indoor and just missed earning All-America honors.

The mark by Dunlap also set an OU school record, breaking the record set of 12-2 set by Monika Erlach in 1999.

Dunlap was one of six Sooner individuals or relays to post NCAA provisional marks in the final day of the 74th annual Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays.

Other Sooner results from the final day include Michael Westlund, who finished fifth with a season-best, NCAA provisional mark of 17-10.5 in the men's pole vault, section A, Brett Corlett, who was 15th with a 15-11 in the men's pole vault, section B, Bambi Carson, who was seventh with a NCAA provisional mark of 50-8 in the women's shot put, section A, Alesha Peel, who was sixth with a season-best NCAA provisional qualifying time of 13.34, LaBoris Bean, who was third with a season-best, NCAA provisional mark of 50.23 in the 400-meter intermediate hurdles, Joey Scott, who was ninth in the 400-meter intermediate hurdles with a 52.52, the men's 800-meter relay which finished 11th with a 1:25.88, the men's 400-meter relay which was seventh with a season-best 40.26, and the women's 400-meter relay which was sixth with a season-best, NCAA provisional qualifying time of 44.81.
