Oklahoma earned its 600th win on Valentine’s Day. The Sooners have an all-time record of 600-423 (.587) with 274 wins coming under Sherri Coale. The Sooners played just 139 games between its 500th and 600th wins, the fewest between century milestones in the program’s history. Oklahoma’s 500th win came Jan. 19, 2005, versus Oklahoma State (70-43 in Norman, Okla.) on Coale’s birthday.
The win also kept OU undefeated in conference play at 10-0 (OU was one of 12 teams nationally undefeated in its conference entering Saturday) and matched the program’s best overall start with its 2002 national runner-up team at 22-2.
The Sooners won their 11th straight against the Jayhawks.
Oklahoma unloaded the bench, playing all of its active players for the 13th time this season.
Courtney Paris has blocked at least one shot in 36 consecutive games.
Danielle Robinson’s streak of double-figure scoring games ended Saturday at 13.
In her last nine games, Courtney Paris has held opposing starting centers to 19-of-71 field goal shooting (.268) for a total of 52 points and 36 rebounds. In those nine games, Paris has made 60 of 102 field goal attempts (.588) and has accumulated 138 points and 128 rebounds.
Oklahoma’s six offensive rebounds matched its season low. However, OU’s 37 defensive boards was a season high.
Oklahoma has shot 50 percent or better from the field in 16 of its 24 games.
