NORMAN, Okla. - The 25th-ranked University of Oklahoma volleyball team opens conference play this Wednesday at Baylor (11-3). First serve from the Farrell Center (6,000) in Waco is set for 7 p.m. CT. GameTracker and a webcast is available at SoonerSports.com..

The Sooners won the Oklahoma Invitational this past weekend with sweeps of Texas Southern, UALR and UAPB ... OU downed Boise State in five sets in the championship match (22-25, 25-19, 17-25, 25-16, 15-4) ... OU set a three-set single match record with a .530 hitting percentage against Texas Southern ... Oklahoma dropped a five set decision at Wichita State last Wednesday evening (27-25, 25-23, 18-25, 27-29, 13-15) ... OU set single match records for attempts (235) and digs (113) and tied the record for kills (73) and assists (67) ... Oklahoma’s 15 total blocks against Arkansas on Sept. 6 ties for the second highest in a single match in the last five seasons ... The most in that span was 19 at Missouri on Oct. 9, 2010. OU also had 15 against Kansas on Nov. 3, 2007 ... Oklahoma leads the Big 12 with a .275 hitting percentage and ranks in the top five of every offensive category ... OU is also tops in the Big 12 in fewest blocks allowed (1.59) ... Oklahoma is 6-9 in Big 12 Conference openers and has the same mark in conference road openers ... OU is 5-2 in Big 12 Conference openers and road openers under Santiago Restrepo ... OU has won five straight conference openers and five straight road openers ... OU has hit .350 or better in 20 sets this year, including 11 of 14 sets this past weekend.

Named most valuable player at Oklahoma Invitational ... Led the team with 19 kills against Boise State ... Team leader in blocks and kills, with four and 13 respectively ... Contributed 12 kills, four block assists and one srvice ace against Wichita State ... Recorded 13 kills, one assist and two block assists against Miami ... Recorded her career fourth double-double against Arkansas with 12 kills and 11 blocks ... Team leader with nine total blocks at North Texas ... Led the team with 14 kills and five block assists against #15 Colorado State ... Named most valuable player of the Nike Invitational ... Hit .418 in 10 sets played on the weekend.

Sallie McLaurin was named most valuable player of the Oklahoma Invitational ... McLaurin played in eight of OU’s 14 sets and averaged 4.00 kills per set, 1.62 blocks per set and hit .667 ... Tara Dunn had a match-high 29 kills and recorded her first career double-double with 15 digs at Wichita State on Sept. 14 ... Dunn’s 29 kills were the most for a Sooner in a single match since Christina Maynes had 30 against Missouri on Nov. 15, 2003 ... Dunn set a rally scoring match record (both eras) in attempts (85) ... Dunn committed just two attack errors to hit .318.

Oklahoma leads the all-time series with Baylor 30-14 and has won five straight in the series ... OU’s last loss in Waco came on Sept. 24, 2008 (3-2) ... OU is 7-3 in the last 10 meetings in Waco ... The Sooners won both meetings last year - 3-2 on Sept. 30 in Norman and 3-1 on Oct. 10 in Waco.
