NORMAN, Okla. – The University of Oklahoma men’s golf squad returns to action this weekend at the Linger Longer Invitational, held at the 7,051-yard, par 72 Landing Golf Course at Reynolds Plantation in Greensboro, Ga.

The 54-hole, three-day event commences Friday morning at 7:30 a.m. (CT).  The Sooners are paired with No. 10 Florida State and No. 17 Georgia Tech in the opening round.

Also in the 16-team field are top-ranked Oklahoma State, No. 6 Texas A&M, No. 12 Augusta State, No. 19 Georgia and No. 24 Alabama. Others in the tournament include Charlotte, Coastal Carolina, Furman, Kennesaw State, Louisville, Mercer, San Jose State and South Alabama.

OU’s lineup remains unchanged this week as the Sooners will send Ben Blundell, Ben Klaus, Liam Logan, Riley Pumphrey and Tyler Rody.  The group is coming off of a fourth place finish at the Bulldog Classic in Choudrant, La., on March 16.

Klaus closed that event with a season-low 2-under-par 70 for a share of eighth place to pace the Sooners.

Located 75 miles east of Atlanta, the Landing Golf Course was designed by Bob Cupp and opened in 1986.  The layout was recently named to the Readers' Choice Top 50 Private Courses by GolfWorld Magazine.
