NORMAN, Okla. - University of Oklahoma men's basketball players Eduardo Najera, J.R. Raymond and Hollis Price were named to various all-league teams, announced the Big 12 Conference today. Najera was named to the All-Big 12 First Team and to the Big 12 All-Defense Team. Raymond and Price were named to the All-Newcomer Team and All-Freshman Team, respectively. Raymond also earned honorable mention All-Big 12 acclaim.

Additionally, Kelvin Sampson was named Big 12 Coach of the Year by College Hoops Insider. The publication also named Najera to its 13-player All-America team.

Najera, the Big 12's second-leading scorer (18.5 ppg) and rebounder (9.5 rpg), also averages 2.1 assists, 1.9 steals and 0.8 blocked shots per contest. He has recorded 13 double-doubles this season and earned Big 12 Player-of-the-Week honors twice. He ranks eighth in career scoring at OU, fifth in rebounding, fourth in steals and sixth in blocked shots.

Raymond has started all 29 games at guard and is averaging 14.4 points, 3.8 assists and 1.4 steals per outing. The sophomore ranks second in the Big 12 in three-pointers per game (3.0) and is shooting a solid .417 from beyond the arc.

Price started in 15 of 16 Big 12 contests and averages 6.7 points, 3.3 assists and 1.6 steals per game. In OU's last four games, all victories, the guard is averaging 14.0 points, 6.0 assists and 3.0 steals. Price also sports .407 three-point and .813 free throw marks.

Sampson has guided the Sooners to a 24-5 record and third-place tie in the Big 12. The sixth-year OU coach picked up his 300th career win Feb. 23 against Texas Tech.
