NORMAN, Okla. - The University of Oklahoma soccer team lost to Texas Tech, 1-0, in front of 467 fans today at the Norman North High School Soccer Complex. It was OUs eighth one-goal loss of the season.

Carrie Graham scored the games only goal at the 65:17 mark. Graham, who was assisted by Kelly Taylor on the play, netted her team-leading eighth score of the season.

Texas Tech is a good team and they played well today, said Oklahoma Head Coach Randy Evans. But so did we. Its extremely frustrating playing in so many close games and not getting the victories.

Oklahoma, which outshot Texas Tech in the first half, 7-4, was outshot after halftime, 13-3. OU goalkeeper Jana Cunningham played the entire game and collected seven saves while Brittney Peese made four saves for Tech while earning the shutout.

The Red Raiders improved to 8-7-1 overall and 4-4 in the Big 12 Conference while the Sooners dropped to 2-12-1 and 1-7.

United States World Cup Team member Cindy Parlow was OUs special guest today and sat on the Sooner bench. Following the game, Parlow answered fan questions and signed autographs.

Oklahoma concludes Big 12 competition next weekend at home. The Sooners host Nebraska Friday at 6 p.m. and Iowa State Sunday at 1 p.m. OUs last regular season game is Sunday, Oct. 31, at Arkansas.
