Norman, Okla. - Oklahoma soccer travels to Springfield, Mo. to play Drury University on Friday, Sept. 6 at 7 p.m. The game is the third of four straight road contests OU will play before opening at John Crain Field in Norman on Sept. 13 against SMU.

The Sooners (2-0) defeated the University of Tulsa on Friday evening, 2-0, and topped Oral Roberts, 2-1, on Sunday night at the ORU soccer complex in Tulsa.

Oklahoma's highly touted freshmen asserted themselves early in the game against TU. Lauren MacIver scored the first goal of the season at 36:59 while Michelle Enos, a freshman from Arlington, Texas, scored in the second period to put the Sooners up, 2-0, off an assist from Kristin Vesely.

In the game against Oral Roberts, freshman Becky Nelson scored at 19:56 with an unassisted blast to the left side of ORU's box. Seven minutes later, Kristen Vesely contributed her second assist of the season when senior Shannon Wing scored the game winner on a header past ORU goalkeeper Kellie Fenton at 26:57.

The Sooners compiled a total of 49 shots with 15 on goal in the two games while their opponents were limited to 19 shots (eight on goal) overall.

OU goalkeeper Catherine Wade totaled 180 minutes in the box with seven saves and one goal allowed.

Oklahoma has a chance to tie the best start in school history with a victory at Drury on Friday night. OU reeled off three straight wins to open the 2001 season before falling to SMU, 1-0. Oklahoma defeated Drury, 4-0, last season in Norman and holds a 2-1 lead in the series.

Drury (0-2) lost to Saint Louis University, 3-0, in its season opener on Aug. 30. The Lady Panthers stumbled again on Sept. 1 in a 1-0 loss to UNLV in Springfield.

OU plays the Lady Razorbacks in Fayetteville, Ark. on Sunday, Sept. 8 to complete the road swing. The Sooners return to the friendly confines of John Crain Field in Norman to host Southern Methodist on Friday, Sept. 13 at 7:30 p.m. in the home opener.
