Norman, Okla. - Head Coach Randy Evans announced the addition of eight players to the 2003 University of Oklahoma soccer team on Monday morning.
The group includes five players from Texas and three from Oklahoma: Andrea Hurley (Edmond, Okla.), Kady Kelly (Round Rock, Texas), Paige Lawrence (Rockwell, Texas), Jenna Lemon (Austin, Texas), Erin Pemberton (Owasso, Okla.), Savannah Scott (Norman, Okla.), Jayme Seetin (Flower Mound, Texas) and Whitney Young (Arlington, Texas).
"I am extremely excited about this year's class," said Evans. "It has speed, size, talent and versatility. We've added a couple of proven goal scorers, a couple of terrific defenders along with a few well-rounded players that could play several positions. This group should fill some necessary holes and create some great competition for every position on the field."

5'8 - Midfielder - Edmond, Okla.
Andrea is the captain of her club team, the OKC Shockers. She is also the captain, offensive MVP, All Conference and All Area for Edmond North HS. She is a member of the OK state Olympic Development team and was named to the South Region ODP pool. In addition to soccer, she is an accomplished 800-meter and cross-country runner.
Coach Evans: "Andrea has that rare combination of speed and endurance. Those assets coupled with her terrific attacking ability makes her immediately competitive as a starter at the outside midfield position."
5'4 - Forward/Midfielder - Round Rock, Texas
Kady plays for the Lady Warriors Soccer Club out of Austin. She is the Offensive MVP at McNeil HS. She is on the South Texas Olympic Development team and was named to the South Region ODP pool.
Coach Evans: "Kady is an exciting player to watch. She uses her great quickness and dribbling skills to break opponents down one v. one and finishes her chances around the goal with precision. She has a great chance to impact the first eleven up front or in the midfield."
5'8 - Defender/Midfielder - Rockwall, Texas
Paige is the captain and Defensive MVP for Rockwall HS. She currently plays for the Sting Soccer Club out of Dallas and before then for the Solar Soccer Club. She also plays for the North Texas State Olympic Development team.
Coach Evans: "Paige reads the game very well and has the skills to execute the decisions she makes. This ability along with her defensive presence will have her battling for the stopper position this fall."
5'4 - Defender - Austin, Texas
Jenna is teammates with fellow Sooner Kady Kelly on the Lady Warriors. She is an All District player for Westwood HS and has been a staple on the South Texas Olympic Development team since '98.
Coach Evans: "Jenna is a tenacious defender with very good attacking skills. This makes her very versatile. She could be used to attack out of the back, play stopper or outside midfielder. It will be hard to keep her off the field."
5'8 - Defender/Forward - Owasso, Okla.
Erin has helped Bishop Kelley HS to win two state championships. She has also helped the Hurricane Futball Club from Tulsa to six state championships. She is also a member of the Oklahoma State Olympic Development team.
Coach Evans: "Erin is a terrific athlete. She has both the size and speed to play anywhere on the field. She is an attacking player for her club and HS but could really impact next year's team in the back."
5'8 - Midfielder - Norman, Okla.
Savannah plays for Norman HS. She also played two years up for the state champion '83 Norman Fury Club team. She played for the Oklahoma State Olympic Development team and also for the South Region ODP team.
Coach Evans: "Savannah is a wonderfully skilled player with the size, strength and creativeness to become an immediate force in the Big 12. She plays in the center of the midfield but could also be strong up front."
5'5 - Defender - Flower Mound, Texas
Jayme was both the District and the school Offensive MVP for Flower Mound HS. The Lewisville News named her the Freshman of the Year. She helped lead her club team, Sting, to a state championship and to the regional finals. Jayme also played for the North Texas State Olympic Development team.
Coach Evans: "Jayme has the versatility to play sweeper or marking back, then be pushed up into the attack when we need a goal. Her impact will be determined by how well she recovers from ACL surgery this winter."
5'7 - Defender - Arlington, Texas
Whitney is the Defensive MVP for Arlington HS. She was a teammate of Paige Lawrence on Solar before moving to Sting. She played for the North Texas State Olympic Development team and also was a member of the South Region ODP team for two years.
Coach Evans: "Whitney, in the most simplest of terms, is a tough defender. She is one of those players that makes you thankful that she is on your team so you don't have to worry about being tackled by her. She has a great chance to impact next year's back line."
