The Sooners (23-4, 3-0 Big 12) have rattled off 11 straight victories. OU opened the campaign with 10 straight wins. It marks the first time an OU squad has accomplished such a feat since 1985, when Oklahoma posted both a 19-game winning streak and an 11-game winning streak.

OU's latest triumph came Tuesday night at Oral Roberts, as Ralph Garza Jr. pitched his first-career complete game. After he gave up a run in the first inning, the right-hander hurled eight scoreless frames for the Sooners. Garza added a career high 11 strikeouts and faced just 29 batters on the night.

Oklahoma opened Big 12 play last weekend by sweeping conference newcomer TCU. The Sooners posted a 3-2 win in 12 innings in the opener on Friday, a 3-1 victory Saturday and a 4-3 triumph in 10 innings in the Sunday finale. Oklahoma has gone to extra innings in three of the last five games and is 4-1 in extra-inning affairs in 2013.

Oklahoma hosts Oklahoma State in a non-conference Bedlam battle Tuesday at L. Dale Mitchell Park.

OU is batting .302 as a team with 25 extra-base hits and has outscored the opposition, 64-30, while the pitching staff sports a 1.73 ERA with 105 strikeouts against 33 walks during its current 11-game winning streak.

Junior infielder Matt Oberste is one of the hottest hitters in the country right now and rides a 27-game hitting streak into this weekend's series against Kansas, which matches Marty Neff (1991) for the longest such streak in program history.

Oberste, who began the campaign by capturing back-to-back Big 12 Conference Player of the Week honors, entered Week 7 of the 2013 season leading the country in hits and ranking second in batting average, tied for sixth in RBI, seventh in slugging percentage and tied for ninth in home runs. He has tallied a team-high 15 multi-hit games in 2013. During OU's current 11-game winning streak, he's hit at a team-best .568 clip with a team-high 25 hits --including four doubles, a triple and two home runs -- to go along with 10 RBI and 13 runs scored.

OU sports a pair of 2013 preseason All-American aces in its weekend rotation in junior righty Jonathan Gray and junior southpaw Dillon Overton.

Overton is 6-1 with a 2.93 ERA and has fanned 39 against just eight walks over 43.0 innings. He was named Big 12 Pitcher of the Week after fanning seven over seven frames while surrendering just two hits to help power Oklahoma to a 10-4 victory over Hofstra on opening day.

Gray, who is 4-1 in 2013, leads the starting rotation with a 1.41 ERA with a team-high 51 strikeouts over a team-high 44.2 innings of work. He has been nothing short of sensastional over his last three starts, posting a 2-0 record with an 0.36 ERA. He's fanned 32 over 25.0 innings while surrendering just one earned run on 13 hits and two walks during that span.

Gray was named Big 12 Pitcher of the Week after Oklahoma rode his arm to a 4-0 victory at then-No. 12-ranked UCLA three weeks ago in Los Angeles. Gray put together a masterful performance on the mound for OU, fanning eight over seven scoreless frames. The Sooners posted their first shutout since blanking Baylor, 1-0, in 10 innings on May 12, 2012. He followed that effort up by fanning a career-high 12 in a complete-game effort to push OU to a 1-0 victory two weeks ago over Northwestern State. Gray, who tossed his first complete-game shutout in the triumph over the Demons, was named Big 12 Pitcher of the Week for the second week in a row. He put together another strong performance on the hill last Friday against TCU, matching his career high of 12 strikeouts over nine innings of work.

Senior infielder Jack Mayfield has already provided some memorable moments at the plate through 21 games for the Sooners in 2013.

Mayfield lifted a sacrifice fly to right field in the bottom of the ninth inning to push Oklahoma to a 3-2 walk-off triumph over New Mexico State last Wednesday at L. Dale Mitchell Park. He crushed a three-run home run over the left field wall in the bottom of the eighth inning to push OU to its ninth straight win to open the 2013 season courtesy of a 10-8 come-from-behind victory over New Mexico on March 24 at the 2013 Kleberg Bank College Classic at Whataburger Field, the home of the Houston Astros' Double-A affiliate, the Corpus Christi Hooks. He was named MVP of the weekend classic for his efforts.

Mayfield, who has started every game this season for the Sooners, is batting .248 with 29 hits -- including six doubles and three homers -- to go along with 15 RBI and 25 runs scored.

Senior outfielder/infielder Max White has made his presence felt for the Sooners, posting a .302 batting average (second on the team) and 32 hits (second on the team) to go along with 15 RBI (tied for second on the team) and 24 runs scored. He smacked a leadoff base hit back up the middle, then scored on a passed ball in the bottom of the 12th inning to push the Sooners past TCU, 3-2, in the series opener last Friday.

Senior infielder Garrett Carey is batting .286 on the season with 26 hits -- including five doubles, a triple and three homers -- to go along with 13 RBI and 16 runs scored.

Junior infielder Hector Lorenzana is batting .283 with 30 hits -- including seven doubles and a home run -- to along with 12 RBI.

Freshman outfielder Craig Aikin is hitting at a .279 clip with 31 hits. He has been producing at the plate during Oklahoma's current 11-game winning streak, batting .304 (second on the team) with 14 hits (second on the team) and six runs scored.

Freshman outfielder Hunter Haley is batting .264 with 19 hits and 10 RBI.

Freshman infielder Kolbey Carpenter is hitting .261 with 23 hits -- including four doubles and two triples -- to go along with nine RBI.

Newcomers making an impact can also be found on the mound in 2013.

Redshirt freshman Adam Choplick is 3-0 with a 2.88 ERA and 24 strikeouts in 25.0 innings of work, including five starts.

Freshman Jacob Evans was named the Big 12 Conference's Newcomer of the Week on Monday. This marks the first conference honor of the Broken Arrow, Okla., native's young career.

Evans continued to show the cool of a veteran out of the bullpen in OU's Big 12 Conference opening weekend series sweep of TCU. He nailed down his team-leading fourth save of the season with 1.2 scoreless frames of work Saturday, bailing the Sooners out of a one-out, bases-loaded jam in the eighth inning to preserve Oklahoma's 3-1 lead. On Sunday, he tossed two scoreless frames and earned the pitching victory to improve to 4-0 on the season. He has not surrendered a run in each of his last 10 appearances out of the bullpen.
