OU Women's Gymnastics Falls To Nebraska, 195.400-194.100

NORMAN, Okla. -- In its first Big 12 dual of the season, the women's gymnastics team dropped its first meet, 195.400-194.100, to Nebraska tonight at the Lloyd Noble Center in Norman, Okla. The women gymnasts season record falls to 3-1.

Sooner Leticia Ishii claimed her second all-around title on the season by posting a season-high score of 39.350, while NU's Heather Brink and Amy Ringo took second and third-place honors.

Ishii also claimed top honor on the floor exercise (9.875), tying teammate Michelle Gonzaga, and achieved a new career high on the uneven parallel bars (9.90).

Senior Ginger Russell showed her balancing act on the beam by tying NU's Nicole Wilkinson for the event title with a score of 9.900.

The women's squad will head to Texas Woman's University next Saturday, Feb. 12, to face the Pioneers for the third time this season.

LSU and Illinois-Chicago will also participate in the OU/TWU meet.

The competition is set to begin at 7 p.m.
