On the matchup with TCU...

“When they are going to roll out a guy on Friday night that has 12 wins that speaks volumes for their pitching staff and how strong and great a year Jim Schlossnagle and TCU have had. We’re excited about our opportunity to take it to the next level.”

On pitching rotation...
“We are going with our regular weekend rotation. A lot of that has to do with how strong TCU is. We are going to have to roll McCutchen out. We are going to roll out one, two, three, and take our chances.”

On the regional...
“There is no doubt this whole field is very competitive. A lot of people have mentioned that this might be the toughest regional in the country and I like it because you have to play at that championship level to advance. Whoever comes out of this regional without a doubt is going to have a great opportunity to get to Omaha.”

On the offense...

“The offense has a lot of confidence right now coming off of the last game when the bats were really hot. ”

Senior leadership...
“We definitely know that this (could be) our last shot at Omaha and possibly our last weekend to play at L. Dale Mitchell. We are going to go out there like it’s our last game and give 100% and all work together and have a lot of fun.”

On this week...
“We have had a great week of practice and this is something that we have been looking forward to for a long time.”

On Daniel McCutchen...
“That guy can go out there and dominate a game. We just have to get some runs on the board for him .”

On the matchup with Wichita State...

”We have gathered information from other teams, but you know we just don’t have that much. We are going into it a little bit blind, but we have picked up momentum and we are feeling good about being here.”

On Brad Lincoln and coaching one of the top pitchers in the country...
“Lincoln is a two-way player and that is something every coach likes. We haven’t let the publicity of the draft interfere and neither has he. He has handled it all very well.”

On not hosting a regional and not getting a No. 1 seed...
“You know it was a little bit of a disappointment but we knew it was a long shot and we had some loses at the end that just kind hurt. “

On being seeded No. 2...

“We’re going to play like a number one seed, come out, play hard and see what happens.”

On pitching the first game...
“I’m the Friday night guy and I’m going to set the tone for the team and come out with a win.”

On catching for Lincoln...

“He’s got a good work ethic and he’s our number one. Brad and I have been together since day one and we get to call our own game.”

On pitching and catching...
“I catch Friday and Saturday and pitch on Sunday and if that helps our team out, than I’m going to keep doing it.”

On the matchup with Houston...
”Brad Lincoln is a great pitcher and we just have to put the ball in play. It is a formidable task, we just have to go out and do the best job we can. That’s all I can ask for. “

On where the team is at coming in to the tournament...
“How do we know? Baseball is game that you have to play everyday and some days we have played really well and some days we haven’t. It’s just a hit and miss thing with us and we’re just looking forward to it and hoping we play well tomorrow. Our goal is to come out and play with confidence and execute the things we have worked on in practice.”

On being in Norman...
“We're thankful we don’t have to travel a long way and we're in a place where some of our guys are back home. It is a place where we have played well in the past and we're excited to see the outcome. “

The consistency of his team...
“This is a game that requires consistency and I would love to see us put three really good days together, but our track record has been spotty to say the least, so we will just have to see.”

On proving they should be here...

“We know we deserve to be here and we’re going to play like it.”

On how to stay consistent...
“We have to be loose, have fun, and play our best while still staying focused and playing with intensity.”

On pitching this year...

“It’s the times when you are down that show you are a real pitcher. I’m going to keep pitching to show people I know what I’m doing out there.”

On his level of comfort on the mound...
“The mound is like my sanctuary, any time I can have the game in my hand I feel in control.”

On the matchup with Oklahoma...

”They are a really impressive group. Other than Rice they are the best group we have played all year long. We have to try to keep Chuckie Caufield off base somehow and so far this year we haven’t been able to do it. We are going to have to scratch for runs when we have opportunities against McCutchen because he is a really good pitcher. OU is not going to give you much. They field the ball so well and they are playing well right now. “

On his team’s player entering regionals
“We are playing pretty well, so we will show up and see what happens.”
