Throughout the season, OU junior Haley DeProspero will give OU gymnastics fans a glimpse into life on the road for the Sooner squad. This week's installment details the Sooners trip to Fayetteville, Ark., to take on Arkansas in a clash of two top-11 teams.

Hey Sooner fans!

We've made it to Arkansas.  The trip over here wasn't as bad as we thought it was going to be.  It only took us four hours to get here (we drove) and we got to watch a couple movies.  We watched August Rush first (not exactly my first choice, but democracy rules) and then My Big Fat Greek Wedding (a team favorite).

We got into Rogers, Ark., around 5 p.m. and had around an hour to get ready for a fancy dinner at Bonefish Grill. Everyone got all dressed up and looked gorgeous! The food was great, although Maggie's (the daughter of head coach K.J. Kindler and assistant coach Lou Ball) Mac'n'Cheese came out after everyone else's entree's, regardless of the fact that her food was ordered before we got our drinks.

After dinner, we walked back to our hotel (it was a beautiful day) and got into our comfy clothes for a team meeting.

Everyone is really excited for this one. We haven't had an away meet in a couple weeks and we're coming off of an amazing team effort at home for Senior Night.

PLUS, we have two birthday's to celebrate this weekend: Kiwi (Redmond-Sturms) turned 23 today and Melanie (Root) turns 19 on Saturday. We're definitely looking to improve on our season high performance last weekend and give these girls a birthday present!
