Oklahoma vs. Kansas
Saturday, Feb. 2, 2002
Lloyd Noble Center, Norman, Okla.

Oklahoma Head Coach Sherri Coale:
On the game: "It's a Big 12 win. We had a great opening 10 minutes but we lost our concentration a little bit after that. Towards the end we settled and took some O.K. shots when we could have made one more pass and had a great shot."

On OU's offensive execution:
"We have spent a great deal of time working on spreading the floor, running motion and playing off one another. We have players who can do so many different things. It's not easy to do that (run motion offense), but it's a very big positive for our basketball game."

On backup players:
"Who I play has a lot to do with how the players are practicing leading up to the game. That's how they earn their time, and what they do in the game makes a significant difference. Kate Scott moves without the ball very, very well. She came down and she took some big shots. She'll be the one we go to next time because she made her minutes count.

Junior Forward Caton Hill

On her offensive game:
"I didn't have a great scoring night against Oklahoma State. I stopped worrying about my game and I wasn't forcing my shots today. The guards did a good job of getting me the ball."

Senior Guard Stacey Dales

On motion offense:
"We just have a unique team chemistry. We understand that in order for us to win and be successful we have to play together. We just have a nice sync together. We're not perfect yet but we hope to be by March."

On Kate Scott:
"I think Kate Scott gave us the biggest lift in the game with her energy, spirit and defensive intensity. All of the players feed off that energy."

On backup players:
"I love to see everyone get a chance to play. It boosts the morale of the team. Anytime we (the starters) can get some rest it helps us for the next game."
