Oklahoma set a new season-best with a 269 (-11) in the second round, replacing the 279 first-round score from the UH-Hilo Intercollegiate, Feb. 8. The team total of 815 also represented a new record for 2006. OU’s previous low 54-hole total was 858 at the Big 12 Championships.
The Maxwell marked the Sooners final tune-up before NCAA postseason play. OU will head to the NCAA Central Regional hosted by Cleveland State University, May 18-21 at Sand Ridge Golf Club in Cleveland, Ohio.
