STILLWATER, Okla. -- Senior pitcher Keilani Ricketts opened the season on Feb. 8 with a no-hitter. Fittingly, the defending USA Softball Collegiate Player of the Year closed the regular season with another no-hitter in a 5-0 win at Oklahoma State on Sunday afternoon.

Top-ranked Oklahoma closes out the regular season with a 47-4 record overall and 15-2 mark in the Big 12. With a winning percentage of .882, the Sooners claimed the third-best record in Big 12 play in school history.

The no-hitter was the fifth for Ricketts this year and the sixth of her career, extending school records she owns in each category. The San Jose, Calif., native struck out seven, while the lone Cowgirl (30-26, 6-12) she allowed was a hit batter with two outs in the third.

Ricketts' pitching was backed up by solid defense behind her. In addition to her seven strikeouts, the Sooners induced eight ground outs, three line outs, two pop outs and a fly out.

While Ricketts took care of the pitching, sophomore Lauren Chamberlain provided all the offense that the Sooners would need.

Chamberlain was 2-2 with a pair of home runs, three runs scored, two walks and four runs batted in. It was Chamberlain's 12th multi-home run game of her career and her fourth this season. She has 55 career home runs and 25 on the season.

With 30 home runs as a freshman, Chamberlain now owns the top two single-season home run performances in Big 12 history and joins Arizona's Jenny Dalton (1995, 1996) and Laura Espinoza (1994, 1995) as the only players in Division I history to have multiple seasons with at least 25 home runs.

After the first two innings passed without a run, Oklahoma broke through in the top of the third.

Senior Brianna Turang led things off with a single. Chamberlain then launched a 1-0 pitch over the wall in left field for her first long ball of the day.

The Sooners added to their lead in the fifth inning.

Chamberlain drew a two-out walk and moved up to second on an infield single by sophomore Georgia Casey. Fellow sophomore Shelby Pendley followed with a hard single to center field to drive home Chamberlain.

It was Pendley's 64th RBI of the season, tying her with Chamberlain for the team lead and the fifth-most in a season at Oklahoma.

In the seventh, Chamberlain connected on another home run.

Junior Javen Henson pinch hit and was awarded first base after being hit by a pitch. Two batters later, Chamberlain hammered a pitch to the right of the batter's eye in center field to put OU on top 5-0.

With the regular season complete, Oklahoma will find out its placement in the 2013 NCAA Division I Softball Championship on Sunday night. The Selection Show airs at 9 p.m. CT on ESPNU.
