NORMAN, Okla.-- The OU soccer team will conclude its four-game home stand tonight against Tulsa at 7 p.m. at John Crain Field. The Sooners (3-0) are coming off a 2-0 victory on Friday over another in-state rival, Oral Roberts.

The Golden Hurricane opened the 2009 season at home on Friday with a 2-1 win against Louisiana - Lafayette.   Tulsa returns 20 letterwinners and nine starters from a 2008 team that finished ninth in the Conference USA standings with a 8-9-3 overall mark and a 3-6-2 record in conference play.

OU and Tulsa have not met since 2005 when the Sooners recorded a 3-0 decision at home.  The Sooners are 2-1 at home against the Golden Hurricane and lead the all-time series 5-2.  The last time Tulsa topped Oklahoma was in 2000 in Edmond (Tulsa won 2-0).

Sooners Drop Oral Roberts, 2-0
Recap | Box Score
Freshman Dria Hampton recorded the first multi-goal game, in her third career appearance, on Friday as Oklahoma topped visiting Oral Roberts 2-0 in front of 814 fans at John Crain Field.  The game winner came in the 44th minute as Hampton fired a shot in the lower corner of the goal for her first career score.  The tally was set up after a nice combination from senior Ashley Farrand and sophomore Jordan White who were both credited with assists. The OU defense recorded its third straight shutout to open the season, tying the mark recorded by the 2001 Sooners who also opened the year with three straight games without allowing a goal.

Next Weekend
OU hits the road for the first time this season with a weekend trip to Tennessee.  On Friday, Sept. 4, the Sooners will travel to Middle Tennessee for a 7 p.m.  game in Murfreesboro.  On Sunday, Sept. 6, OU takes on Vanderbilt in Nashville at 1 p.m.
